The internet can pull you into some things you otherwise might not have discovered. I’m sure you all know that by now… Idol groups included.

Ruhara Renji (Harada Mariru), Bukiya Momotaro (Kyan Chiaki), Seto Kouki (Seguchi Kana), Akazono Kojiro (Konan Yuka), Shijuin Yosuke (Inui Yoko), Midorikawa Kyohei (Kyomoto Yuka), Seimyoji Uramasa (Ura Erika)
This seven man idol group, 腐男塾 (Fudanjuku), is actually a seven woman idol group known as the 中野腐女シスターズ (Nakano Fujo Sisters) in disguise. If you find it a bit hard to tell who’s who, each girl’s color coincides with her male alter ego.

They are famous for the fact that they are otaku idol! Each member has his/her own distinct interest and it is also where they get their group name from. Nakano for Nakano Broadway, a famous spot where a plethora of Mandarake shops that sell second hand merchandise is located. Fujo for “fujoshi,” the female counterpart for the stereotypical male “otaku” (though not all girls are interested in yaoi that fujoshi are commonly associated with). The areas of interest range from the traditional anime to cooking otaku and even fairies/reptiles! Find out more at this lovely livejournal post.
The girls’ debut single is Honey Bee~.
The guys’ debut single is 男坂 (Otokozaka).
キミのものがたり (Kimi no Monogatari) also by the guys.
Sadly, two members seen in the Kimi no Monogatari PV have left since the filming. Suzanne (not in above pics but in PV, curly hair w/yellow tie) joined Pabo. Yosuke/Yoko (leader, purple tie) recently announced her graduation from the group last month.
