Today resulted in me waking up at 6 am to catch a Shinkansen. Back to Osaka. I visited Osaka Castle, built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi during the Sengoku period. Well, I visited the renovated one since the original was ravaged by World War II. The inside of the castle is a museum. They tell the story of Hideyoshi from his childhood and also display many paintings and the like from the Sengoku period. At the very top, there is also an observation deck.
Changed to local lines and even the subway to get to Osakako, where the Osaka Bay area is.
I went to visit the Osaka Bay area and Doutonbori at night. Osaka Aquarium is a must visit. They have 15 huge displays filled with sea creatures from around the “Ring of Fire,” which is closely connect to the “Ring of Life” in that region as well.
The big ferris wheel and a big shopping complex is located in front of the Kaiyuukan (aquarium) as well. Doutonbori was well worth the visit. The night life is amazing. Many brightly colored and neon signs shout out advertisements to the passerby. Pics will be uploaded later as soon as I find them. ^-^;
Sadly, I wasn’t able to see the Glico running man as it was getting late and I still needed to get back to Tokyo. Only one day left. T^T
