Day 7 was my last day in Tokyo (1 day for the airport but that doesn’t really count!). I went to visit Asakusa, the Imperial Palace, Ginza, and Tokyo Tower. I also made one last trip to Akihabara to go to Yodobashi Akiba. I think I got tired of snapping photos all the time, that’s why these posts are getting less and less photos. ^_^;
Tokyo Tower is well worth the visit. I suggest buying the 150ft observatory ticket only since the 250ft one isn’t that much different. You can even buy a tower shaped water bottle for 300 yen! It’s not the flimsy plastic either. 😀
There are more pictures on a different memory card that I hope to find soon. They will be put up as soon as I can find that thing.
The last place I visited before leaving Tokyo was Yodobashi Akiba. 9 floors of amazing awesomeness. Otaku should immediately hit floors 6 and 7. Floor 6 is solely dedicated to games and toys while floor 7 has specialty shops like Tower Records and a book shop that sells anime related magazines. (That’s where I picked up my Newtype and Megami.) The book store’s registers are also significantly faster than the ones at Gamers or Animate since they have 10 cashiers on duty. 10 freaking registers open.
Sadly, my camera ran out of battery and I was running out of time to catch the last NEX to go to my airport hotel (there’s a long complicated story about that too) so no pictures. :[ I will definitely take more pictures during my next trip to Japan, which will probably be in the winter. (Lol yep. I got another trip to the land of the rising sun planned, or in the planning process.) With this, my coverage of a week in the land of the rising sun is over.
